New Goals to live more Healthy

Today I have some new goals that need to be set. I am at a place in my life where I have to get back into shape. Getting old is hard and my body is very different than it used to be, but that doesn't mean I can't do what I used to. I just have to work harder!! In order to do this, I have a large amount of weight to lose. It's hard to do everything with working, so I have some huge goals to set. These goals are:
  1. Get up every morning at 4:30 am
  2. Work out for at least 30 minutes everyday
  3. Lose 50 lbs by July of 2011
  4. Cook healthy dinners every night for my family
  5. Leave work by 4:40 every day

Those are my goals for the rest of the school year. It's the only way I will have time to do everything. I will be asking my Heavenly Father to help me and motivate me everyday to be healthy and keep my family healthy. I want to be a good role model for my son.

A Blessful Day

Although, Hunter is now 2 1/2 years old, it's never too late to get a blessing. Today, we FINALLY were able to give Hunter a blessing and name into the church. It was so wonderful to have the family here. Hunter's grandpa Lynn gave the blessing while daddy, grandpa Bill, Uncle Tim, and Brother Wheeler stood in. There was such a wonderful spirit and I cried my eyes out. I am so thankful that we have such wonderful family. Hunter was such a perfectly behaved little boy too! He just sat on my lap and listened. It was amazing.

Afterwards, we all had a really tasty dinner of steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, and corn on the cob. It was such a perfect day. Here are a few pictures of Hunter with all of us.

Aunt Kresta's Visit

Aunt Kresta came to visit us yesterday. Hunter was so excited to see her!! She opened the door and he ran and jumped in her arms. She spoils Hunter rotten, too! Every time she comes over, she brings Hunter a new toy. This time it was a tractor and trailer with farm animals and Hunter absolutely loves it. So he and Kresta played tractors all night.

Today we had to take Kresta to pick up a new puppy. This little dog was the most adorable little cuddly dog I've ever seen! I wish I had a picture of her. She is a little chocolate lab and is about 7 weeks old. Lab puppies are cute, but then they get big and are a huge pains in the you know what!!

After the getting the puppy, we went to Sam's Club and purchased a membership there. Then we proceeded to spend WAY to much money!! But, we got a lot of food that will last us for awhile. We have never bought food in bulk but I think from now on, it will be the best way to go when it comes to grocery shopping. Next time we go we are going to take an ice chest so that we can buy some frozen food and vegetables.

By the end of the day I was exhausted and so was Hunter. We both took naps on the way home, while Keith drove. :) Kresta had to leave this evening, but we had a great time spending time with her. We are all so glad she came to visit and we love her! Thanks for coming to our house, Kresta!

Bread, Rolls, and Football Fun!

Well, I am pretty sure that I have eaten my entire days worth of calories just in bread! Tomorrow I am definitely gonna have to start jogging again. Ugh! Today I decided that I needed to learn how to make home made bread. So I made 2 loaves of bread and a pan of rolls for dinner. All of it turned out pretty good for a first timer!! The rolls were perfect, but the bread was kind of funny looking. It tasted great though!! So far I have eaten 4 rolls and 1 slice of bread and would LOVE to eat more if I didn't feel like I was going to throw up. LOL! I didn't get to the pumpkin bread today because the store was out of pumpkin. Hopefully, I will get to that in a few days.
Hunter didn't help me today. He was too busy playing football. After taking him to the Florence vs. RV game, and then Taylor's game on Saturday, Hunter is officially addicted to playing football. When we watch games on TV he gets down with the teams, then when they hike the ball he starts running really fast to make a touch down. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. He's getting so dang big. Pretty soon we are going to be watching him play. :)

Fall Break 2010

Well, it's Fall Break and 110 degrees outside. Yay! I say this sarcastically because it is not truly fall when it's 110 degrees outside. I'm feeling like we need to take a trip up to my Mimi's so that we can get to some fall weather.
I'm so unbelievably relieved that break is here. This first quarter of school has been pretty stressful. Not just at work, but just life in general. Our family has definitely had some ups and downs over the past few months. But I guess that is just how life goes and it will get better. I have complete faith in my Heavenly Father and I know that he will bless our family when we need it.
I'm hoping that I can do some baking over the break. I really despise cooking, but I really do like to bake. Hopefully I will make some homemade bread and I really want to make some pumpkin bread. :) Anyway, that the big update for now!
